Dead Sea

This is a view of the Dead Sea. It is 1,385 ft below sea level, the lowest spot on earth. It is about 34 percent salt. The oceans, for sake of comparison, are about 3.5 percent salt.

We have the opportunity this afternoon or on the morning, to float on the Dead Sea. It is around 110 degrees out, give or take, so I think I'll wait until morning when it is not so hot. Some are down there though. Nobody from Springfield. Those ladies are getting spa treatments.

The Dead Sea is shrinking about 3 ft a year. There is a plan to reverse this in the future.
